Mr. Mike
Mr. Mike is the name of the cutest, softest, snuggliest teddy bear ever made. I think so. I made it.
Mike's Fantastic Eatery, Inc. (MFE) is the novelty company I formed to make things like Mr. Mike, custom post-it notes and whatever else I could imagine.
Unfortunately for me and Mr. Mike, a toy store saw Mr. Mike and liked it so much they appropriated the design, changed it ever so slightly and sold it in their stores :( Ironically, I hope it sold well!
Political buttons were hot a few years ago, and I almost broke even selling ones I created!
The Cozy Caterpillar Imagination Game was originally supposed to be part of MFE, but I formed another company to give the game it's own identity.
Teddy or Not
Teddy bears fall into a category of products called "plush." (I guess all stuffed animals fall into this category but most people don't collect stuffed penguin likenesses.)
Folk lore has it that teddy bears were named for Teddy Roosevelt. Stuffed bears were around a long time before Mr. Roosevelt, but who knows if any were named Teddy?
